Since the stock crashes of 1987, 1999, and 2008, the Bank of Canada (BoC) implements strategies whenever there are signs of inflation. Trying to flatten the waves of inflation and deflation in relation to the mighty USD. Todayʼs Hell Monies come in many forms: interest rate cuts, GST holiday, stimulus cheques, carbon tax, and tax rebates. If the CAD value tumbles in comparison to the USD if/when tariffs are imposed, will USA manufacturers/investors disregard the Trumpetʼs MAGA reveille?
Ruth Strebe is a London-based writer, zine-maker and multimedia artist capturing and solidifying little moments of time. Strebe is a member of the Forest City Gallery and the London Ontario Media Arts Association (LOMAA). Her paintings are in private collections in Germany, Australia, Canada, and England. Strebe also dabbles in the Victorian-age pastimes of palmistry and tasseography.
