Embassy Cultural House and Edna Press Link-Up at the 2021 Vancouver Art Book Fair!

The Embassy Cultural House is ecstatic to announce that it has partnered up with Edna Press (PhD candidate Ruth Skinner) to participate in the 2021 Vancouver Art Book Fair. This virtual event runs from Oct 18 - 26, and our virtual table features ECH and Edna Press titles from ECH members and partners. Highlights include: a recent artists' multiple by PhD candidates Anahí González and Andreas Buchwaldt for The Other Neighbour of El Otro Lado; Sheila Butler - Other Circumstances, the exhibition catalogue organized with Patrick Mahon and Department alum Sarah Charette; Hiding In Plain Sight, edited by PhD candidate Shelley Kopp for artist and adjunct faculty member Ron Benner's compelling virtual exhibition of the same name. The Embassy Cultural House (ECH) is located on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak, and Chonnonton peoples, at the forks of Deshkan Ziibi (Antler River), an area subject to the Dish with One Spoon Covenant Wampum and other treaties, colonized as London, Ontario. The ECH strives to create meaningful relationships between the Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island and our contributors. The ECH honours the stewardship of the many Indigenous peoples who have resided on these lands since time immemorial.
