Embassy Cultural House: Curators
From 1983 to 1990 numerous artists exhibited at the Embassy Cultural House. These visual art exhibits were just an element of the programming held over the years including music concerts, film nights, performances, lectures, and social events. There was also an irregular tabloid newspaper that promoted and reviewed the programming at the Cultural House. This dynamic community created wonderful energy and a cultural buzz in East London.
Below is a list of the curators who were part of this vibrant community.
This dynamic community created wonderful energy and a cultural buzz in East London. Curators were an important part of organizing exhibits, and many were local, though there were also visiting and guest curators, as well. Additionally, we have included curators who supported the ECH by attending or participating in activities and events at the time, or who have connected with the ECH community in the intervening years..
