Joshua Lambier is a PhD candidate in the Department of English and Writing Studies at Western University. His focus is on the relationship between European literature from the Romantic period and the connection to human rights. His essays have been included in several publications, including the European Romance Review and The Keats-Shelley Journal. In 2009, he was recognized for his community initiatives and was supported by the Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation, where his mentor was award-winning, Abenaki filmmaker, Alanis Obomsawin. Josh was the lead organizer in a group of students and faculty in founding the Public Humanities at Western University where he is the Program Director. He is the Artistic Director of the Words Literary and Creative Arts Festival. WordsFest 2023 begins in early November and is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
