THELMA ROSNER
Thelma Rosner is a visual artist based in London Ontario. She began as a painter and has since worked in media including printmaking and installation, but painting remains at the root of her practice.
Rosner's work is related to events or ideas in the world. Over the decades, she has investigated subjects such as feminism, food and culture, conflict and immigration, from the point of view of her identity as a first generation Jewish Canadian. She has been particularly interested in two issues; the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Holocaust. Currently, Rosner is collecting narratives from immigrants to Canada, and developing a bookwork inspired by these stories. For more information, please visit her website. |
